Adra in New York

Published: Monday 10 March, 2008

Adra made its American debut in New York last week. Adra representatives took part in a delegate mission as part of high-profile event Wales Week USA, an annual event that takes place around March 1 – St. David’s Day. Wales Week is co-ordinated by the Welsh Assembly Government in New York in partnership with a wide variety of organisations, artists, writers and performers in order to forge links between USA and Wales.

A selection of Adra products was exhibited as part of the week's events. The response to the products was fantastic and many have claimed a permanent home by New Yorkers, including a pair of Melin Tregwynt oven gloves donated by Adra as a raffle prize for the Annual St David's Day Banquet where the 2008 Hopkins Medal was presented to Welsh singer Iris Williams.

We look forward to welcoming more Welsh Americans as future customers.
